Oh my! Been a long time since I've logged in over here.
Lots to report:
Bobby had oral surgery to remove a "shark tooth". He's lost 4 teeth + shark tooth. His top teeth are all crooked coming in, here we come braces! Second grade has started and been good so far. He has a teacher who is well known, and its his last year! Mr. Zehm!! We will miss him if he really does leave this year. Boo hoo. We have had some long days (tired, fits, and crying too!!) but hopefully we adjust to the grind soon.
Brooklyn is officially in Kindergarten! She's playing soccer with her bestie and having fun! They are sweet together. I think Brooklyn gets a little sad about school because some of the kids don't socialize as much as she does! She loves to talk and play!
Tommy turned 3!! Say what?! Yes, 3! And I turned uh..well, you can't count that high so who cares how old I turned! But Tommy! He's great! He's been out of diapers for awhile now, and won't even wear a pull up to bed at all anymore. He seriously gets out of bed after we tucked him, goes pee, yanks off the pull-up and laughs at me. He drives me nuts but makes me laugh!!
I started my credential to become a teacher! Yay! My friends have been so inspiring, I'm a little late in the game but I don't think this would have worked for me any other way. I didn't have any help to watch my kids as infants, so this is the way the timing worked for me. I received great news yesterday that MOST of my credential will be funded by a GRANT!! FREE MONEY FOLKS!!!!!! I cried. THAT was the best birthday gift!! AND today I found out I can student teach at the kids' school which takes a HUGE amount of stress away!!!!! HUGE.
We camped at San Elijo beach the week of our 10 year wedding anniversary! How is that possible when I am STILL 25!?! lol But that is all I wanted to do for it. I didnt want to dress up. I didn't want to hire a babysitter. I wanted to be dirty, sun tanning and playing in the waves. It was so much fun! The water was freezing but we still had a lot of fun! The trip ended days before school started...leave it to me to party until the very last second! I had to soak up every minute before school started, I felt like it was too early to go back! The 22nd?!!!
We took a quick adult trip to Las Vegas with friends in July. Nice relaxing time! I gambled and lost so bad! My favorite night was getting to see Brad Garrett do live stand up comedy. OMG. Hilarious!!! I would do it again anytime!! And next time I might even brave the front row.....lol
