The kids favorite past time:
Emptying out MY side of the closet (no, not daddy's side, just MY SIDE) and climbing in to "hide"
Out of courtesy to my daughter, I blocked out her exposed parts :)
Below is a hair curly bow I made for Brooklyn. Very easy to do. I bought a few other things of ribbon to make for the upcoming holidays. Even though you cant see it, in the center are of course, little "diamonds"....for my princess :)
I also made the kids home made 4th of July shirts. I bought plain white t's, and picked up iron on paper printed the picture on the paper, ironed, and wah-lah! The shirt probably cost $1.00 to make and can hopefully be reused for next year (there's a few food stains because it is of course, a white shirt haha)
Even though our vet gave us some sedatitves for the dogs to survive the fireworks, or anything else that makes them frantic, Derek still did not want to leave them home alone. I found at Michael's glow sticks - I think for 15 of these puppies it was a $1.00 (weren't expensive at all). They last one night and then done but the entertainment lasts all night so well worth it. I just think about the glow sticks you buy at amusement parks when how cheap these were - what a rip off! Especially since they dont last all but one night!
Despite the dogs being drugged up, our big pup - Rylee still freaked out. I had to sit on the floor with her, then til about 1130 fireworks were going off so I ended up sleeping in the living room with her and Rocky. Terrible sleep. I'm still tired from sleeping from 1am-6am the other night. Ughhhhhhh
Didn't do much else on the 4th. Kids naps are 1-4 so basically we ran over to Mema's house (roed) and did a quick dip in the pool. Ate a quick dinner then headed back home around 7pm to be with our dogs and relax. It actually was a nice day despite the lack of activity.
