GS & M-I-C-K-E-Y
Alright. Here we go:
Friday 1/31 Went and saw George Strait. Alright seats. Concert was good. Miranda Lambert opened for him, which at first I was like ehhh but she actually rocked the place and I enjoyed most of her songs. Excellent. Not excellent - getting to bed at 1am and Tommy waking up every.hour.on.the.hour!!! He is sick. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Saturday morning "wake up" haha. Finish scrambling around and pack. FORGET ESSENTIALS FOR ME. Remember everything for everyone else. Forgot about me. Hello motherhood.
Arrive at our hotel - Disney's Grand Californian Spa & Hotel. SCORE. Hotel is just breathtaking. Nice nice nice. Walk to Disneyland Hotel for Character Dining at Goofy's Kitchen. Score. Thats where most of the pictures with the characters are from.
Saturday night, sleep like crap. Tommy still not feeling good. Try our best to sleep but its harder than usual.
Sunday Morning "Wake up", get ready for the day at Disneyland. Crowds not bad. Head back to hotel around 3 for a little break/recharge. Grab dinner. Head back to Disneyland, crowds even smaller. Ride Star Tours with Bobby. Ride some rides and wonder why they are so darn scary! (Hello, Snow White is like a nightmare!) Get a little bit rained on. Head back to hotel around 8pm. EXHAUSTED.
Monday Morning "Wake up", have a nice breakfast at Storytellers Cafe at the hotel - more characters visit. Go to California Adventure. Crowds barely around. Ride some rides two times in a row. Bobby is tall enough for some of the more adventurous rides - he rode Soarin over California, and then Grizzly River Run. He went back for a second trip on Grizzly River Run but the ride closed/broke down! Boo.
It was fun, but then, it was uhhhhh not fun. Thought Tommy would have done a little better sleep wise - and maybe he would have if he would have been feeling better. He still has a terrible cough - been doing neubulizer and ibuprofen around the clock. The fog of being so tired is still on us today - everyone happily lay for nap around 1 today. Trying to get rid of the piles and piles of dirty laundry, finish hw and get my crap together. Thankfully one more day of rest tomorrow then back to the grind with the kids and their stuff.
Hope you all had a nice weekend!

5 Months
Tommy is 5 months today! Here are his latest moves:
*On 1/10 he rolled over belly to back
*On 1/11 he rolled back to belly
*We have introduced food, I do a little "dinner" every night for him. He's getting better at choking it down - literally the kid makes choking sounds (I know I'm a bad cook, but not that bad! LOL)
*He reaches for stuff, we have this flip book called 'where is baby's belly button' and he can now flip the little inserts.
*If I can keep him awake long enough (like 6:30pm/7pm) he will sleep til 5am for me. He did this once or twice this week, but of course last night he was ready for bed at 5:30, and ready to party at 2am, then 4:30am. GRRRRRRRR!
*Can just about sit up. He looks like he is doing some kind of yoga pose because he has to kind of lean forward still, but he's very close to sitting all the way up.
*My "obese" baby is around 18-20lbs still. I've been watching better at the #of bottles, and actually have given him a bottle of water 1x a day. Figured if I can give him food I can give him water now.
Overall little Tom is doing good.
Bobby and Brooklyn are great. Bobby's little brain is constantly ticking; he is absorbing so much of the world these days! On the way home the other evening, about a 5 minute drive, I managed to teach him how to spell "no" and "yes", and he's spotting these words now. Amazing to see a young mind learn. Bobby reminds me everyday he's almost 5, asks me if its his birthday yet, and when can he go to the "big kid" school (Ramona Elementary). Little stinker. Brooklyn is her same spunky self. No nap = Hell on earth with her. Nap = Angel. I've started to give the kids liquid Vitamin C & Cod liver Oil in the morning to help with immunity and the fish oil helps with memory, their moods and a bunch of other stuff. (We use Bubble Gum flavor by Carlson's)
...And Me? Does anyone ANYONE really care about me? Ok, when I ask this pity question to the family usually Bobby says he cares. LOL
I started to do the psycho hard workouts of Crossfit with Robyn & Family but I was not seeing the results I wanted (think buff not trim). So, I've come to learn from my body, more running/cardio, with a some strength training is best for me. (I do love hitting a tire with a sledge hammer though ;) ) Today I weighed the closest to my prepregnancy weight than ever which makes me happy, but still feel like I have a long way to go. So boring not to eat whatever I want but I'm trying to look at the whole picture not just the short term plan.
And in case anyone is wondering and been following my complaining, I'm almost done with my silly BA. If I could afford too, I would complete all the classes this year, but if I change my cohort plan I disqualify myself from financial aid - WTF? No thanks. Free money and going slow? Ok fine....
Happy Thursday!

Above: My Aunt Margaret (birthday is 9/5/1923), me & Tommy (whose due date was 9/5/2013).
We took a visit to see Aunt Margaret last week. She celebrated 90 right when Tommy was born, they had a big party. She was a big part of my childhood, a close friend to the grandparents who helped raise me. I have so many memories with her. Her health is slowly declining...
Happy Thursday!

4 Months & Christmas
Since the weather has been awesome, took the kids one day to Ramona Grasslands for a "hike". This awesome tractor was right where we entered.
Tommy sleeping in his " merlin magic sleep suit". I switch between the swaddle blanket and the sleep suit (laundry). The sleep suit seems to work just as good, and gives his arms a chance to lay out differently.
Pictures from when Bob & Sally renewed their wedding vows (12/22/13).
Christmas Morning
Tommy is 4 months today! My guess is he weighs close to 20 lbs because he is in size 6-9 month clothes. He eats 6 ounces about every 3-4 hours, and as long as he is swaddled he can sleep (a little cat nap) anywhere. He does his long stretch of sleep (sleeping through the night) starting around 530-6pm and goes til 12:30/1am. One more waking at 4am, and he tries to get up for the day around that time. I lay him back in the crib, put on his mobile and go back to bed, but I have a feeling he stays awake in there til I get up at 6am! Ughh working on it. He can lay on his belly and hold his head up pretty good. He cant roll over yet. He squeals REALLY loud when he's happy. Finally feeling some relief of juggling 3 kids, cant wait to start feeding him food.
I managed to complete my 2 classes over the fall semester with passing grades. The first class (which started right when Tommy was born) I only received a C+. The second class (when I started to get more sleep) I received an A. What a difference! Spring starts soon, I get to apply for graduation. FINALLY.
Workouts are irregular. Between the holidays, the mess in this house, cleaning, food, sleep deprivation and being sick, not much gets done. Trying to get back on it.
We are headed to the George Strait concert at the end of January! (So excited!)
Hope to take a family trip here soon. We ALL need a little break.
Happy New Year!!!
